Workshop Japanese Bookbinding
During this workshop you can experience the traditional way of Japanese bookbinding, which combines folding and binding paper with durable thread to create beautifully stitched books!
You will make your own A5 size book of 20 pages (if you want to prepare a book that is not A5 size, please let us know upfront).You can either bring these 20 pages yourself (e.g. your drawings, poetry etc.) or use the paper provided.
This workshop is under guidance of a Japanese washi-master: Natsuko Ogiwara, from Nagano, Japan.
These workshops are English spoken and suitable for both beginner and advanced.
Costs (including all materials)
- € 40,- (A5 size, 20 pages, including inside paper)
- A € 10,- discount if you prepare your own inside paper (the cover will be provided)
Number of participants: max. 8
Please feel free to ask for another course date or to make inquiries for a private course, when you are with a group of minimum 3 people.
If you want to prepare a book that is not A5 size, please let us know upfront.
